These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Backlinks Project website (backlinksproject.com) and app (app.backlinksproject.com) (together, the “Service”), operated by White Dove Solutions (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service for a company, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
1. The Service
Backlinks Project is an online marketplace where you can browse a catalog of third-party websites (“publishers”), order sponsored content and link placements on them, and manage your campaigns. Publishers are independent from us. We coordinate orders between you and publishers and track their progress.
Website metrics shown in the catalog (such as authority scores, traffic and spam scores) come from third-party tools and publishers. They are estimates provided for guidance only, and we do not guarantee their accuracy.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.
- One person or business may not create multiple accounts to get around limits or these Terms.
- Contact us promptly at support@backlinksproject.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Prices, balance and payments
- All prices, balances and payments are in US dollars (USD). If you pay in another currency, your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
- The Service works with a prepaid balance. You add funds (“top up”) by card or PayPal, and then pay for plans and orders from that balance.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. A top-up is added to your balance only after the payment is confirmed.
- Your balance is a prepayment for the Service. It is not a bank account or a stored-value instrument, does not earn interest, and cannot be transferred to another account.
- Prices shown in the catalog and on our website may change at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases in your country.
4. Plans
- A plan unlocks full website details in the catalog and the ability to order. Plans are prepaid from your balance for 1, 3 or 12 months.
- Plans do not renew automatically unless you turn on auto-renew. With auto-renew on, the plan renews from your balance at the end of each period if your balance is sufficient. You can turn auto-renew off at any time in the app.
- If you switch to a different plan before your current one ends, the unused part of the current plan is credited back to your balance.
- We may change plan prices or features for future periods. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
5. Orders and placements
- When you place an order, the price is deducted from your balance and the order is sent to the publisher with your brief (target URL, anchor text and instructions).
- Publishers may review your content and request changes, and may decline content that does not fit their site or policies. If a publisher declines or cannot complete an order, the amount paid for that order is returned to your balance.
- Delivery times are estimates. An order is complete when the content is published and the order is marked as Posted.
- If you provide the article, you confirm that you own it or have the right to publish it, and that it is original and lawful.
6. Guarantee contracts
You can add an optional guarantee to eligible orders for an additional fee (10% of the order value). For one year after publication, if a guaranteed placement is removed or stops being indexed by search engines for reasons outside your control, we will, at our choice, arrange a replacement placement of similar value or credit the order amount to your balance. To make a claim, contact support with the order details. Guarantees do not cover changes you request to a published placement, or removals caused by your own content breaching these Terms or the publisher’s policies.
7. Refunds
- Unused balance can be refunded on request to the original payment method, within 30 days of the top-up, less any non-refundable fees charged by the payment processor and a 10% cancelation fee.
- Amounts spent on completed orders and on plan periods are not refundable, except as described in sections 4, 5 and 6.
- If you believe a payment was made in error, contact us before opening a dispute with your bank or PayPal, so that we can resolve it quickly.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to order, promote or link to content that:
- is illegal in your country, the publisher’s country or the reader’s country;
- is fraudulent, deceptive or infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
- promotes malware, phishing, hacking, hate, violence or harassment;
- is sexually explicit, or involves weapons, drugs, gambling or financial products where these are restricted, unless the publisher has explicitly agreed and the content complies with the law;
- is spam or uses misleading redirects.
You also may not try to bypass the Service to deal directly with publishers found through it in order to avoid our fees, scrape or copy the catalog, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its security or operation.
9. Search engines
Search engines such as Google have their own guidelines about paid and sponsored links. You are responsible for deciding how to use placements and for following the guidelines that apply to you, for example by requesting rel=”sponsored” or rel=”nofollow” attributes where appropriate. We do not promise any specific search ranking, traffic or business result.
10. Publishers
If you submit a website for listing, you confirm that you own or control it, that the details you provide are accurate, and that you will deliver accepted orders as described and keep placements live as agreed. We may accept or reject any website, and may remove a listing at any time.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, catalog compilation and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You keep the rights to content you provide, and you give us permission to use it as needed to provide the Service, such as sending it to publishers.
12. Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us; unused balance is handled as described in section 7. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, that are used for fraud or abuse, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these Terms, including about uninterrupted availability or about the actions of publishers and third-party tools.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost rankings or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs arising from content you provide, your use of placements, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to resolve any dispute with you informally; if that does not work, the courts of India will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
